Overview & background
If your account owner has left the company or is on an extended leave or vacation, it is beneficial to change the account owner. If another user in your company is made the account owner, they will be granted all of the privileges held by the previous account owner.
You can only have one Account Owner at a time, so best practice is to make it whomever is managing the payments for your account, and then ensure all other admins you want managing your account details are "Account managers."
Log on to the web version of Fieldwire.
Select the "People" tab on your account dashboard (the "Home" page of your Fieldwire account).
Select the appropriate Account Manager, and change their status to "Account Owner".
Note: Only other Account Owners and/or managers can do this.
Note: Only Account managers, and NOT Account users, can be promoted directly to Account Owner. However, you can promote any Account user to Account manager (and then make that same user Account Owner).
Be sure to update the credit card details if necessary.
