Overview

Fieldwire strives to be the most intuitive and powerful field management solution in the construction industry. We continue to expand our platform with innovative designs you won't find in any other application, and we respond to our most consistent customer feedback with improvements to our existing products.

Business Plus Tier (April 2023)

Our newest subscription tier, Business Plus, makes essential project management tools (RFIs, Submittals, and [in the near future] Change Orders) easier than ever to access. These features were previously only available with custom invoiced subscriptions facilitated by our Account Managers. With the release of our Business Plus tier, you can unlock them anytime by simply upgrading your Fieldwire subscription.

Project Dashboard

Project Filters (August 2023)

You can now filter your projects straight from the project dashboard! With this update, you will be able to filter your projects down by "Labels", "Projects' Account Owner", and "Time filters". This will allow you to easily locate and organize your projects within Fieldwire.

Note: The "Show archived" button has been moved. To view your archived projects, you need to click on the "Filter projects" button. Once you've clicked on the "Filter projects" button, you'll see the option to "View archived projects only", and then you need to click on the toggle to view your archived projects.

Plans

Markup Selection Tool & Batch Editing Markups (August 2023)

When previously using Fieldwire, you needed to move and edit your markups one at a time. Now, using the Selection Tool, you can select, move, and delete multiple markups at once. This includes being able to change the color, opacity, and thickness of multiple markups, which can save you time on a day to day basis!

A practical new option in the Plans tab, "Export Markup Summary", is now available to be utilized as part of your reporting workflow. This feature allows you to create summaries of all markups on any selected plan sheets.

High Resolution Plans (August 2023)

You'll now see greater resolution on your large and extra large plan sheets! This will allow you to see much more detail when you're zooming in on your plan sheets.

Note: Any project created prior to August 30th, 2023 will not have the improved resolution for plan sheets on Web.

Specifications

Link Specifications to Plans (July 2023)

As a logical next step for the development our Specifications feature, it is now possible to create direct links on plan sheets to any specifications that have been uploaded to your project. The intention behind this feature is to allow quick and easy access to relevant specification documentation when viewing your plan sheets - without having to toggle back and forth between separate areas of Fieldwire.

Tasks

Account-level Checklists (June 2023)

Another highly-requested feature, the ability to copy task checklists between projects, is now available! Just as with our Custom Forms feature, you can publish your checklists to the Account level, then import them into any of your projects. With this update, it is no longer necessary to generate multiple copies of the same checklist for each project; you will only have to create your custom checklist one time.

Restore Deleted Photos from the Trash Tab (July 2023)

A long-awaited update to our Trash tab functionality, the ability to restore deleted photos in Fieldwire, is here! Just as with Plans, Tasks, Files, and Forms, you can restore single or multiple photos at once.

Allow Users to Upload up to 25 Photos at a time on Mobile (August 2023)

Thanks to feedback from our customers, you can now upload up to 25 photos at a time on your mobile devices on the Photos tab! The limit for iOS used to be 5, and the limit for Android used to be 10. Now, with the increased limit of 25, you'll be able to more quickly upload your photos to Fieldwire from the jobsite.

Project Management

Assign RFIs and Submittals to Email Addresses (August 2023)

Although still an option, it is no longer necessary for the assignee of an RFI or Submittal within Fieldwire to be present on your project; you can now simply send RFIs and Submittals to your intended recipient via email. This update is intended to boost the overall efficiency of these features, and improve the workflow of our continuously-evolving Project Management offerings.

Setting a Lead Company for PM Modules (August 2023)

Another popular feature has been added to Fieldwire. You can now set a Lead Company within Fieldwire to ensure that all RFIs and Submittals submitted by users from within the “Other companies” on your project go through your “Company”.

Change Orders (September 2023)

Change Orders are now available for Business Plus customers! The Change Orders module is the newest addition to Fieldwire's suite of Project Management tools, and it integrates with other parts of Fieldwire allowing you to have a single source of truth for agreed scope changes, faster data gather from relevant parties/stakeholders, faster approval process, etc.

Support for the Hungarian language (Magyar) on Web (July 2023)

You can now set the language for your Fieldwire instance to Hungarian without affecting the other users on your project. This will make navigating Fieldwire easier for native Hungarian speakers.
