Workbot Installation within Microsoft Teams
You will need to be an Account Admin in Fieldwire to facilitate this portion of the setup.
From your project dashboard, go to "Integrations". Choose "Microsoft Teams", then "Install Workbot app".
Follow the prompts to open Teams (in the web app), then use the drop-down next to the "Open" button for Workbot to choose "Add to a team".
A modal with a search bar will appear, allowing you to type out a team or channel name. Choose your channel, then click the "Set up a bot" button in the lower right corner.
You'll be brought to a post in the channel you selected that confirms the installation. You can close Teams and return to the Integrations tab in Fieldwire to continue the installation process.
Connecting your Fieldwire Account to Microsoft Teams
Within the Microsoft Teams integration page, choose "Connect Microsoft Teams account".
Enter the name of your account in the following modal, then click "Next". Your account details will display within the modal; scroll down to select the "Sign in with Microsoft" button.
You'll be taken to Microsoft's sign-in window, where you can choose your account. Once you've logged in, return to the Microsoft Teams page in your Fieldwire Integrations tab to verify that your account has been successfully connected.
Creating Automations within your Fieldwire Projects
From the Project Settings page, click "Manage automations".
This will take you to a new page, where you can create an automation for Microsoft Teams. Select the blue "+ New automation" button; use the "App" drop-down to specify "Microsoft Teams", then set the "Automation" drop-down to "Send Teams message when a form status is updated". When this is complete, choose "Create draft".
From here, you can set up the specifics of your automation.
Use "Select form templates" to choose any number of form templates that will be affected by the automation in Microsoft Teams, then click "Add to automation".
Now you can click "Select channel" to choose the recipient for the automation. A list of Microsoft Teams channels will appear.
Note: we only list the channels where the creator of the Fieldwire + Teams connection is present; additionally, Workbot setup within any channel(s) you choose is a prerequisite for this part of the installation. If there's a channel you don't see, you'll need to add the user who performed this setup process to that channel.
In the example below, you can see that the channel shown earlier in this article for the Workbot setup ("My Fieldwire team > General") has been selected.
After you click "Connect", you'll see a "Connecting" status in the upper right corner.
Go back to your Microsoft Teams application - you'll see a notification post in the channel that you set up the integration for:
The connection indicator in the Microsoft Teams integration tab in Fieldwire will now be green and read "Connected".
The Automation in Action
In this article's automation example, the "Timesheet" form template was chosen. Moving a draft form to a different status will look like this:
1.
2.
3.
Clicking the "Open in Fieldwire" link within the Microsoft Teams notification will take the user directly to the form in Fieldwire that was updated.
FAQs

A: This integration is designed for and works with standard channels only.
Q: Can I have multiple Microsoft Teams subscriptions associated with my Fieldwire account?
A: You can link 1 Microsoft Teams subscription to 1 Fieldwire account. If your workflow would be better suited to multiple connections, please send this feedback to us at support@fieldwire.com.
Q: Are there any limits to how many automations I can create?
A: No, there are not! You can have several Microsoft Teams automations in conjunction with other automations, such as Google Drive or SharePoint.
