Overview & background
You can utilize the Project dashboard on the web version of Fieldwire to access the four key tabs:
Projects, People, Account, and Tutorials.
This article focuses on the 'Projects' tab.
Project dashboard actions
View projects: After logging in, you will arrive at the Projects dashboard. The first thing you will notice are thumbnails of all the active projects you have. You can click on the thumbnail of the project to open the project.
Reopen archived projects: Click on the "Show archived" link.
Edit project settings: If you are the project Admin, you can edit certain project settings by hovering over the project title and clicking on the gear icon that appears. Here you can edit the project title or owner and can choose to archive, leave, or delete the project entirely.
Note about archiving projects: It's important to understand that if you delete or archive a project, you do that for everyone on the project. So please be careful if you are an Admin and select one of these two options.
Tip about archiving projects: The primary purpose of archiving a project is to remove it from taking up space on your device and keeping your project page uncluttered. Deleted projects cannot be reopened.
Organize Your Projects
You can sort and organize your projects by the Project name or Project Code. Select the Sort option, and then either 'Name' or 'Code'-- alternatively, you can use the 'Filter projects' search box to locate a project based on the name or code.
Create a New Project
You can create a brand new project by clicking on the large "+ New Project" button. Doing so will bring up a screen that will let you name your project, as well as the option to clone a previous one.
Tip: Cloning a project means you can recreate aspects of another project in the new one. You can choose to clone only one or two of the available attributes (Categories, People, Checklists, Reports. Locations, Folders and Settings and Folders), or you can clone all of them.
