Overview
If you would like to upload files from a different Box, Dropbox, or OneDrive account, then please follow the steps below to change the accounts for:
Note: Before you disconnect and reconnect your cloud storage platform and your Fieldwire projects, please be aware of the following: When a project is reconnected, the initial project folder in Box/DropBox/OneDrive will be deleted. For DropBox, the deletion will be permanent and any changes made in these apps that are not transmitted to Fieldwire will be permanently lost.
Dropbox:
- Disconnect all but one project from Dropbox-- you can accomplish this from either the 'Plans' tab or from the 'Settings' tab of the projects you'll disconnect:
- Open “Settings,” then click on the “Connected” tab. You’ll see the Fieldwire icon displayed here. To remove it, select the drop-down menu, and click on "Disconnect” on the right side:
- Upload a new file/plan to the project with the connection. This would invalidate the token. You can then go through & authenticate with another account:
- Re-connect all the other required projects:
Box:
- Disconnect all but one project from Box-- you can accomplish this from either the 'Plans' tab or from the 'Settings' tab of the projects you'll disconnect:
- From the drop-down menu, select “Account Settings", then click on the “Security” tab and look under “Login Activity.” You should see a list of all the applications you granted access to, and when you see Fieldwire, just click the “X” button to forget the app:
- Upload a new file/plan to the project with the connection. This would invalidate the token. You can then go through & authenticate with another account:
- Re-connect all the other required projects:
OneDrive:
- Disconnect all but one project from OneDrive-- you can accomplish this from either the 'Plans' tab or from the 'Settings' tab of the projects you'll disconnect:
- Cancel the connection to Fieldwire from OneDrive. You can accomplish this from your Microsoft account by heading to the Apps and Services page.
a. If this is a Personal OneDrive Account you can click this link to go to the "Apps and services you've given access to" section. You will not be able to log in using this link if you use a Business OneDrive Account. Once on the 'Apps and Services' page, locate "Fieldwire", then select 'Edit' and 'Remove these Permissions':
b. If this is a Business OneDrive Account, you can click this link to go to your "Apps dashboard", which will show you all of the apps that have access to your Microsoft account. To manage that app's access to your account, click the three dots in the upper right-hand corner of that particular app and then click "Manage your application". If you have the proper permission levels on your Business OneDrive/Microsoft Account, you can remove the app's access. If you don't have the proper permission level, you'll need to contact your Business OneDrive/Microsoft Account Owner. - Upload a new file/plan to the project with the connection. This would invalidate the token. Clear your cache prior to re-authenticating your account.
- You can then go through & reauthenticate with another account:
- Re-connect all the other required projects:
Note: If using OneDrive for the 2-way sync, please ensure the account you are connecting to has a valid OneDrive license included in your Microsoft 365 subscription. Please view this link to review which licenses will be adequate.
