Overview
Fieldwire users on a Business or Business Plus Subscription have the option to set up integrations between their Fieldwire account/projects and their accounts on various other programs including Hilti ON!Track and more. For ON!Track, there are certain nuances to connecting your Fieldwire Account/Projects to this app. Specifically, the ON!Track integration isn’t like our other integrations as it requires manual set up by the ON!Track Team. This and other nuances will be covered in this article. The purpose of connecting ON!Track to your Fieldwire projects is that you'll be able to set up automations that can create Fieldwire projects and add users from ON!Track as well as use Fieldwire to create ON!Track locations and workers.
Note: This article goes in depth specifically for Hilti ON!Track. If you are not interested in using this app but still want to learn more about connecting apps and setting up automations, please check out these articles:
Setting up a Connection to Hilti ON!Track
As mentioned above, connecting Fieldwire to Hilti ON!Track is different than how we integrate and connect with other apps such as Google Drive and Sharepoint. Before trying to connect with ON!Track, you'll need to make sure that you have both the proper account and project permission levels both in Fieldwire and for ON!Track. To create the connection you need the following:
- A Fieldwire account with API access
- For access to the API, please visit this page: What is the Fieldwire API, how can I get API tokens (keys), and find the developer page?
- For an ON!Track account and the integration setup, you simply need to contact the ON!Track Support team. If you are not in contact with someone already, you can reach out to the contact listed at the bottom of this page.
- Once you contact the ON!Track Support Team, ask them to assist with the setup
- The ON!Track team will then set up the automation on your behalf.
Click on the "Integrations" tab, and you'll notice several different apps to which you can connect Fieldwire, including Hilti ON!Track. Select the app, and you'll see a pop-up appear indicating that you'll need to go to the ON!Track marketplace in order to establish the connection. Thus, by clicking on the blue "Visit ON!Track Unite" button, you'll be redirected to the ON!Track marketplace.
