Integrations Tab: Setting up Viewpoint Vista

Overview

Fieldwire users on a Business or Business Plus subscription have the option to set up integrations between their Fieldwire account/projects and Viewpoint Vista. The Viewpoint Vista integration has a few unique setup requirements compared to other integrations. This integration requires manual setup by the Viewpoint Vista team. In this article, we’ll walk through what makes the integration different and how to get started.

Setting up a Connection to Viewpoint Vista

As mentioned above, connecting Fieldwire to Viewpoint Vista is different from how we integrate with other apps like Google Drive or SharePoint. Before trying to connect with Viewpoint Vista, you’ll need to make sure you have the correct account and project permission levels in both Fieldwire and Viewpoint Vista.

To create the connection, you’ll need the following:

• A Fieldwire account with API access:

• A Viewpoint Vista account and manual integration setup:
  • To integrate Fieldwire with Viewpoint Vista, you’ll need to contact the Viewpoint Vista Support Team directly. If you are not already in contact with someone at Viewpoint Vista, you can find their contact information at the bottom of this article.
• Request integration support from Viewpoint Vista:
  • Once you contact the Viewpoint Vista Support Team, ask them to assist with the integration setup. Viewpoint Vista will manually configure the connection and automations on your behalf.

Establishing the workflow requirements

To connect Fieldwire to Viewpoint Vista, do the following:

• In Fieldwire, click on the Integrations tab.
• Select Viewpoint Vista and a pop-up will appear indicating that you’ll need to visit the Viewpoint Vista platform or reach out to their team to establish the connection.
• Click the blue Visit Viewpoint Vista button to be redirected to the Viewpoint Vista website or integration setup page.
