Overview
Keyboard shortcuts are an effective way of using your keyboard to speed up the markup. These shortcuts can be used to create different types of markups and add tasks.
Plan view markup tools
You can use a selection of 21 keyboard shortcuts to do markups without needing to manually select the action you would like to take using your mouse.
To view the Keyboard Shortcuts menu, click 'SHIFT + /' on any tab and the menu below will appear in Fieldwire. The most detailed menu will appear when you're on the Plans tab.
Markup Keyboard Shortcuts
'SHIFT' key
All shortcuts that include an upward arrow indicate that you need to hold down the ‘SHIFT’ key while pressing the additional letter/function key.
For example, to use the add polygon shortcut, hold down ‘SHIFT’ and press the letter “p”. Once you release both keys, you should see a “Click to add Polygon” function on your mouse.
Shortcuts on the 'Plans' tab
Tip: On the Plan view, use the right and left arrow keys to easily scroll through plans.
If you would like to halt placing task on a plan, select the 'Esc' key.
Shortcuts on the 'Tasks' tab
Tip: Use the right & left arrow keys to navigate through tasks.
Tip: Use the 'Esc' key to exit out of a Task.
Tip: Use the 'Esc' key to 'let go' of a task.
Shortcuts on the 'Forms' tab
Use the Tab to move to the next entry.
Use the arrow keys for navigating in some dropdown lists.
Use the ESC to close the form view modal
