Question:
I don't know if my mobile device's internet speeds are sufficient for Fieldwire - sometimes my plans and tasks take awhile to load. What should I do?
Answer:
We recommend utilizing an internet upload connection of 20 Mbps or faster to access Fieldwire - if the connection is significantly slower, you may notice that your plans or tasks may take longer to load.
Tip: You can identify the speed of your internet access by going to http://www.speedtest.net/ or by downloading the 'Speed Test' app for iOS or Android.
However, if your upload connection speed is 20 Mbps or faster and you notice synchronization issues on your mobile device, then please review these two articles:
- Am I using the most up-to-date Mobile Operating System and App version for Fieldwire?
- Does my mobile device have enough storage space for Fieldwire?
Keep in mind that your cellular data connection is significantly less reliable than WiFi for data syncing. The typical bandwidth capacity of the cellular connection can vary immensely - even from minute to minute.
For this reason, we recommend that you connect your mobile device to WiFi with a reliable connection of 20 Mbps or faster when it's time to sync your project data.
