How to capture screenshots in the BIM Viewer:
Any Project permission can capture screenshots of a BIM Model. From the 3D Models tab, open up a Model, and then choose the 'Camera' option above the measurement tool:
This will open up the capture window. You are able to leverage the pivot, walk, and zoom tools to frame the shot within the capture window:
Once you've lined up the section of the model within the capture window, select the 'Capture' option to take a screenshot of the model:
The screen will flash white for a moment, to let you know that the photo is being taken. Once you see the option 'Saved to photos', your screenshot will populate to the 'Photos' tab:
Once your screenshot is in the Photos tab, it will have the same properties as any other photo, meaning you can attach the screenshot to existing tasks, export the photo, and add tags:
Note: You can leverage the 'Manage tags' option to help designate which model the screenshot originates from. This helps with how your photos are organized once you have several screenshots. Read more about tagging photos in this article: The Photos Tab
When the screenshot is attached to a task, you can mark the photo up to call out any specific areas of the screenshot:
Leverage the option to attach the screenshot to a task to provide tangible information to project stakeholders about the model!
