Overview

Fieldwire users can integrate with Hardline to automatically create tasks from jobsite conversations eliminating the need for manual note-taking or data entry.

Hardline is a voice-first, AI-powered platform built specifically for construction. It analyzes phone calls and on-site discussions, identifies action items, and converts them into structured Fieldwire tasks. Your team continues communicating naturally in the field, while Hardline ensures important follow-ups, decisions, and assignments are captured inside Fieldwire.

Tasks created by Hardline behave exactly like manually created Fieldwire tasks and remain fully editable.

Setting up a Connection to Hardline

Before connecting Hardline to Fieldwire, make sure you meet the following requirements:

Requirements

To use Hardline with Fieldwire, you will need:

An active Hardline account
An active Fieldwire account with appropriate permissions
The Hardline mobile app installed on your device

Connecting Hardline to Fieldwire

Download and sign up for Hardline.
Open the Hardline mobile app and go to Settings > Integrations.
Select Fieldwire.
Select the toggle to begin the connection process
Select Get API Token
- This will redirect you to Fieldwire
In Fieldwire on your mobile devce, select your name in the upper right-hand corner
Click View account
Select Manage tokens and click + New token to generate a new API token
Create a label for the new token and click Create
Copy the newly generated API token
Click the checkmark in the upper left-hand corner to be redirected back to the Hardline mobile app
Paste the API token where it says to do so
Start talking! Hardline will now document important details from your phone calls or site walks

Bringing Tasks Directly into Fieldwire

When you have completed your call, you will be able to review the call summary within the Hardline app by clicking Summaries. Within Summaries, you will see the calls that have been logged within Hardline.

To generate tasks in Fieldwire:

Select one of those calls
Navigate down to the To Do section
Swipe on the to dos that you want to send to Fieldwire
Select the relevant Fieldwire project
Click Select Project

The task will then sync over to Fieldwire!

How the Integration Works

Capture conversations
- Hardline analyzes jobsite phone calls and on-site discussions (without recording audio).
Identify action items
- The system detects relevant details such as tasks, assignments, decisions, deadlines, and project context.
Create Fieldwire tasks
- Identified items are converted into Fieldwire tasks with:
  - Titles and descriptions
  - Assignees
  - Due dates
  - Referenced context (such as locations or project details, when applicable)

Once created, these tasks appear in Fieldwire just like any manually created task.

Using Tasks Created by Hardline

Tasks created by Hardline appear in Fieldwire exactly like any other task.
You can view, edit, reassign, complete, or update them directly in Fieldwire.
Hardline will not overwrite any changes you make after the task is created.

This ensures your team maintains full control over task ownership, scheduling, and execution.

To ensure the highest-quality task output:

Be specific: Clearly mention names, locations, dates, and responsibilities.
Talk naturally: Hardline understands construction terminology and typical jobsite phrasing.
Confirm key actions verbally: Restating assignments or deadlines helps Hardline capture them accurately.

Troubleshooting

Tasks are not appearing in Fieldwire

Confirm that Hardline is connected to Fieldwire under Settings > Integrations in the Hardline app.
Make sure you are logged into the correct Fieldwire account and project.
Verify that your Fieldwire user has permission to create tasks in the project.

The integration will not connect

Ensure you are using the latest version of the Hardline mobile app.
Log out and back into both Hardline and Fieldwire, then try reconnecting.
Check that pop-ups or in-app browser access are not being blocked on your device.

Task details are missing or incorrect

Try being more explicit when speaking: include names, dates, locations, and clear assignments.
Restate key actions or deadlines during conversations to help Hardline accurately capture them.
