Overview
Project Search allows you to quickly find existing information within a project using natural language.
Instead of navigating between tabs (Plans, Tasks, Photos, etc.), you can search for what you need and open the relevant result directly. This helps reduce time spent scrolling or filtering and makes it easier to confirm whether information already exists.
Search results are based on project data that is available on your device. If information has not been synced, it will not appear in search results.
This feature is part of the Field Intelligence beta and is designed for mobile users working in the field.

Understanding search results
Results are grouped by content type (e.g., Plans, Tasks, Photos)
Each result shows a preview of the matched content
Results are optimized to help you quickly confirm if something already exists
Search results only include data that has been synced to your device. If expected results are missing, ensure your project has fully synced.
If no results are found, you’ll see an empty state with guidance to try another search. Results may vary slightly between searches as the system interprets your query and available project data.
Providing feedback
You can provide feedback directly from the search results screen.
Tap the feedback option (thumbs up/down) on a result
Optionally add additional comments
Submit your feedback
We strongly encourage you to share feedback as it helps improve result quality during the beta.
For additional feature requests or feedback on AI search, you can also contact us at fieldintelligencefeedback@fieldwire.com.

Tips for best results
Use simple, natural phrases instead of exact names
Focus on what you’re looking for, not where it’s stored
Try different wording if you don’t see the expected result
Ensure your project is fully synced for the most complete results
If a search doesn’t return the expected result, try running it again or rephrasing your query
Offline use
Project Search works with data available on your device.
You can search while offline using locally stored project data
Only synced data is searchable while offline
Results may be limited if your device has not fully synced
Results will update automatically when connectivity is restored
Privacy & permissions
Project Search respects your existing permissions and data boundaries in Fieldwire.
You will only see results for content you already have access to
Search is limited to the active project only
Search does not expose data across projects, accounts, or organizations
Search does not create, modify, or delete any project data
For this beta:
Search operates on project data available within Fieldwire
All search processing is performed on-device by your operating system
Project data does not leave your device as part of the search experience
Customer data is not used to train external or third-party AI models
No project data is shared outside of Fieldwire beyond standard application behavior
Notes
Search is limited to the current project
Search results are read-only
Not all content is included in this beta (for example, detailed form responses and RFIs)
Photos include images only (video is not supported)
You cannot refine or add onto a previous search in this release
Results depend on available project data and sync status
Results may vary slightly between searches and improve over time as the system evolves
Beta limitations
As this is an early beta, you may experience:
Missing or incomplete results
Limited coverage across some data types
Variability in results based on sync state
We are continuing to improve this feature over time.
