Overview
Fieldwire integrates with ClearVault, a construction payments platform that connects project information and field progress in Fieldwire with ClearVault's project and payment workflows.
Once connected, an existing Fieldwire project can be used to set up a project in ClearVault. Project information, tasks, budget information, and files from Fieldwire can be used to pre-fill the ClearVault project, helping reduce duplicate project setup.
Fieldwire project activity can also be used as supporting information in ClearVault. Field progress, including tasks, checklists, inspections, and photos, can be used as proof of work for the corresponding milestone or payment request in ClearVault.
When field-plan updates are enabled, ClearVault can also add information back to the linked Fieldwire project, including tasks, draft change orders, and payment status notes on linked tasks.
This article explains how to connect Fieldwire to ClearVault, set up a ClearVault project from an existing Fieldwire project, and how information moves between the two platforms.

How the Integration Works
When a ClearVault project is created from Fieldwire, information from the existing Fieldwire project can be used to pre-fill the project in ClearVault. The information available includes project details, tasks, budget information, and files.
The integration can also use progress recorded in Fieldwire as supporting information in ClearVault. This allows project activity already being documented in Fieldwire to support the corresponding ClearVault project workflow.
Fixed-bid projects
For fixed-bid projects, Fieldwire tasks can be used to help build the milestone plan in ClearVault. Field progress associated with those milestones can then be used as proof of work in ClearVault.
Cost-plus projects
For cost-plus projects, budget information from Fieldwire can be used to pre-fill the ClearVault budget by cost code. Fieldwire project information can then support payment requests in ClearVault.
Updates in Fieldwire
When Let ClearVault set up and update field plans is enabled, ClearVault can add information to the linked Fieldwire project, including:
- Tasks associated with the ClearVault workflow
- Draft change orders
- Status notes on linked Fieldwire tasks
ClearVault does not change the status of a Fieldwire task.
