A single plan file usually takes anywhere between 2MB-10MB of space (5MB on average). If you have 1000 sheets in your project, that can take up 5GB on the device on average.

For mobile devices in general, we recommend a 64GB or higher device for projects with several thousand sheets. This article provides general guidelines for the optimal amount of space.

You can identify device storage space on an Apple device by viewing this Apple Help Center article

  • If yes, proceed to the syncing troubleshooting steps in this article.
  • If no, consider removing unused apps or content (podcasts, videos, and photos) from your device to free up storage space. This Article in the Apple Help Center explains how to free up storage space. You can also review this Apple Help Center article to learn how to delete high data apps-- if you delete an app you can always re-install it at a later time.

Note: We typically recommend that you free up 3GB of the storage device on your phone for Fieldwire to sync at optimal speed.

 

Is there enough space on your Android device?

 
To identify device storage space and memory on an Android device, go to Settings > Memory. 

  • If yes, then proceed to the next troubleshooting step in this article.
  • If no, you could consider deleting unused apps or even podcasts, videos, and photos from your device to free up storage space.

Note: We recommend that you free up 3GB of the storage device on your phone for Fieldwire to sync at optimal speed.
