Overview
In order to ensure the best possible experience with Fieldwire, we strongly recommend that your mobile device's operating system - and the Fieldwire app - are kept up-to-date. In an effort to make this easier, we routinely update this article with the latest information about our available mobile versions of the app. Please see below for all the details!
Device Operating System
Apple devices (iPad, iPhone)
|
14.0 or higher* |
Android devices (Lollipop)
|
Version 7.0 or higher |
*Using older iOS versions could cause sync issues and result in data being unrecoverable.
Note: Since June 2021, certain Huawei Smartphones & Tablets have shipped with HarmonyOS 2.0, which is not currently supported.
We always recommend utilizing the latest version of Fieldwire, due to the fact that we're constantly adding features and improving performance. If you're considering upgrading your device(s), please refer to this list of devices that support iOS 13 and higher.
Fieldwire App Version
Current Apple iOS version |

Note: Occasionally, the app may show the "Open" button instead of the "Update" button. Please click the logo, and the "Update" button will appear on the details page.
Ensuring you have the most up-to-date operating system and version of Fieldwire can help resolve many functionality issues and provide a smoother user experience.
If you are using the most up-to-date operating system and the most current version of the Fieldwire App, and are still experiencing issues, please click the appropriate link and proceed to the troubleshooting steps for Android or Apple iOS to address syncing issues.
Note: If you are using an older version of the Fieldwire App, it is possible that some of your projects will become "Blocked", and you will not be able to access those projects. This is due to new feature additions or improvements within the projects themselves. The only way to become "unblocked" is to update your version of the Fieldwire App.
Web browser versions
Fieldwire works on all web browsers, including recent versions of Chrome (which we recommend), Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge.
Note: Internet Explorer has been discontinued, and Microsoft will stop supporting it completely in 2021.
Fieldwire's Windows App (Beta)
Fieldwire's Windows App, available to download via the Microsoft Store, is currently in beta. There are no plans for development on our end, since Microsoft has ceased development on their mobile devices.
If you have downloaded Fieldwire from the Microsoft Store for your Windows computer, we recommend using the web version of Fieldwire instead (app.fieldwire.com).
The Fieldwire Windows app for the Microsoft Surface operates differently than the mobile app available on Android and iOS devices, since it is effectively a 'skin' of the web version.
The Fieldwire App for Microsoft Surface lacks certain features, such as an offline mode and access to the device's back camera. Thus, if you'd like to access Fieldwire on your Surface, we recommend using the Surface's web browser to access the web version of Fieldwire (app.fieldwire.com). Alternatively, you can download the latest and greatest mobile experience on our iOS or Android apps.
