Question
I want to export or print a plan with task pins included. How do I do this?
Note: Task pins displayed on exported plans are not clickable and will not open to display the task information; they are purely intended to serve as a reference point. If you would like to create a PDF that shows tasks alongside the plans they are associated with, we recommend generating a task report with the "Full Size Plans" option selected (see this article for more information: Introduction to Task Reports in Fieldwire).
Answer
Fieldwire now provides the option to export plan sheets with task pins. In order to include your task pins in a plan export, you will need to make sure the "Tasks" checkbox shown in the screenshot above is selected. Having all three checkboxes selected will ensure that all tasks will appear on your plan export.
Currently, only on the single plan view, there are two options to filter what task pins you can see on your plan export: Filtered tasks and Other tasks.
Filtered Tasks: Having this option checked will only show you the relevant tasks depending on your selection of "My tasks", "Watched tasks", "All tasks", or a Category. For example, if some of the tasks on the plan sheet are assigned to you and other tasks are assigned to other users, check this option while having "My tasks" selected to view only the tasks that you're assigned to.
Other Tasks: Having this option checked will also only show you the relevant tasks depending on your selection of "My tasks", "Watched tasks", "All tasks", or a Category. However, instead of showing you tasks of the selected category, it would display all of the other tasks not in that category. For example, if you select "My tasks" while having this option checked and having "Filtered Tasks" unchecked, you'll see all tasks that are not assigned to you.
Note: There is a limit of exporting 1000 plan sheets at a time. If you try to export more than 1000 plan sheets, you'll receive the following email notification:
