Ensure the Fieldwire App is on the Latest Version

Set "Dark Mode" to "On"
Dark mode consumes significantly less battery life, and can be easily toggled on or off.
To do so:
- Navigate to your Profile within the mobile application
- Select Dark mode
- Choose "On"; this setting lives near the bottom of the screen.
Configure Syncing Frequency
Data syncing on your mobile device is an action that can drain your battery more quickly. Our Field Guide to Syncing explains several options for data storage and the frequency with which new data is synced to and from your device.
- Smart synchronization, for example, ensures that data is only synced when you are connected to wifi. Setting this preference to "on" will ensure that syncing won't occur when you're out on a jobsite that doesn't have wifi. (Turning this setting off will allow syncing to take place over your cellular network, as well).
- Any projects that are downloaded to your device will continue to be synced, unless you choose to disable them. If you're encountering issues with battery drainage, we recommend disabling any projects on your mobile device that you aren't currently using. (You can enable and download them again later).
Use Fieldwire in Offline Mode
If it's critical that you get more battery life out of your device, and you don't need updates to or from Fieldwire to be synced in that moment, setting your device to airplane mode will force the app to cease any syncing activities.
