Question
I want to create a task report that includes tasks from multiple projects. Am I able to do so?
Answer
Yes! Fieldwire now allows Account Managers on any of our premium (non-Basic) subscriptions to generate .CSV reports that consist of tasks from multiple projects.
How to Generate an Account Report
As mentioned previously, in order to generate an account report, you must be an Account Manager.
- If you do not have this permission level, you’ll need to enlist the help of another manager on your account. You can see who is an Account Manager by going to the Account level 'People' tab.
- If you do have this permission level, click the 'Generate reports' button from the project dashboard.
After clicking 'Generate reports', you'll see a pop-up where you can select '+ New report' or you can click on the hyperlinked text for 'Create a new report'.
Once you select '+ New report', you'll see a number of options (similar to the ones offered when generating a project-level task report).
You can edit the name of the report by clicking the pencil icon, and you can add email addresses to the Recipients section with your email address added by default.
In addition, you have the ability to designate which projects you'd like to pull tasks from. To do so, simply click on the checkbox next to the project's name or choose the checkbox next to "My Projects" to select all of your projects.
Just like on your individual project task reports, you have the ability to sort and filter your tasks on your account-level reports as well. However, the first sorting option always needs to be 'Project'.
The "Included tasks" drop-down list options include 'Last modified', 'Created', 'Based on start date', 'Based on dnd date', and 'Overdue'. After one of these is applied, you can choose 'All time' or designate a different value (last number of days, weeks, or months).
In addition, you can choose to included deleted tasks in your report by switching on the toggle under the "Time frame" section as shown in the screenshot below. Notice the information icon also underneath the "Time frame" section stating that "Full weeks start on Sunday and end on Saturday".
Lastly, you can schedule when the report will be sent out under the "Report schedule" section. You can choose to schedule the report to be sent Weekly or Monthly, with the ability to choose the day(s) of the week or the day of the month you want the report to be sent. If you click "Now", you'll notice that the "Save" button changes to "Email report".
