When are Verified tasks archived and how can I view archived tasks?

Verified tasks are automatically archived after a set period of time based on your project settings. This article explains when tasks are archived, why tasks may appear missing, and how to view archived tasks.

When are verified tasks archived?

By default, tasks are automatically archived 7 days after being set to Verified.

This timing is controlled by the Archive verified tasks setting in the Project Settings tab.

• Default: 7 days
• Shorter options: 1 or 3 days
• Longer options: 30, 90, 365, or 3650 days

How automatic archiving works

Fieldwire automatically archives tasks a set number of days after they reach Verified status. This is controlled by the Archive tasks setting in your project's Settings tab.

Tip: This setting is specific to each project. If you want the same archiving behavior across projects, clone the Settings tab to keep it consistent.

When a task reaches the Verified status, Fieldwire automatically archives it based on your project’s configuration.

• Archived tasks are removed from the default task view
• They do not appear in the Trash tab
• They can still be accessed using filters

If you cannot find a task, check your archive settings and enable archived task filters before assuming it was deleted.

How to view archived tasks

You can view archived tasks from the Tasks tab using filters:

1. Go to the Tasks tab
2. Click Filters (top right)
3. Enable Show archived tasks
4. Locate tasks under the Verified status column (or your custom equivalent)

• Use shorter archive periods (1–3 days) to keep task views clean
• Use longer archive periods (30+ days) for reporting or audits
• Review archive settings when tasks appear missing
