What video file types are supported
Certain Video File types are supported in both the Files and Photos tabs - these can be uploaded on the web version of Fieldwire (app.fieldwire.com). Any .mkv, .mov, .mp4, .webm, and .m4a video files, under 200mb, can be uploaded to Fieldwire. These will play in Fieldwire's media viewer. All other video file types, including .WMV, .AVI, and .FLV files are not currently supported.
Any video captured in a task or on a photo hyperlink on mobile will be stored under the Photos tab as well as in the device's camera roll.
Record Video on iOS
In a Task
To take a video in a Task, open up a task in the Fieldwire mobile app and click on the Camera icon at the bottom of the task window. When the camera window appears, select the "Camera" option, which will then bring up your device's camera. Lastly, you'll need to switch from the "Photo" option to the "Video" option in order to capture a 7-second video. When it is finished recording, the video will then appear in the task as a message:
The video will be saved onto the 'Photos' tab in your project.
Note: Ensure that Fieldwire has photo access under your device settings in order to capture photos and videos.
In a Photo Hyperlink
You can also capture video on your iOS devices by going through the Photo Hyperlink on Plan sheets. Just select the Photo Hyperlink option, place it where you would like it on your plan sheet, then click on it, and select "Take photo" to bring up your device's camera. Lastly, switch from the "Photo" option to the "Video" option in order to capture a 7-second video.

The video will be saved onto the 'Photos' tab in your project.
