Overview & Background
Fieldwire's BIM viewer allows users to view and navigate 3D models in Fieldwire. Fieldwire also offers the option to view 3D models on web and mobile (iOS and Android).
This article outlines how to navigate the 3D model tab on Web, how to upload a 3D model, and how to manage the models that have been uploaded.
The 3D Model Tab
All Projects that are covered under the Business Subscription have the 3D Models tab.
All Project Users have access to the 3D Models tab in the Fieldwire web app (mobile coming soon), independent of their permissions set. 
How to Upload 3D Models
Only Project Admins have the option to upload and make folders for 3D Models.
Select the '+New Model' to Upload a new 3D Model to the Project.
Note: Only .IFC files, versions 2x editions 2, 3, and 4 can be uploaded to the 3D models' tab. Please refer to this article for more information on IFC versions.
Note: Only .IFC files 500mbs or under can be uploaded and viewed.
How to Organize 3D Models
Project Admins can create folders to sort and organize their 3D Models.
Select the '+New folder' option to create a new folder-- then enter the name of the folder and select 'Create'.
Models are sorted alpha-numerically under the 3D models tab.
To rename a model, select it, and then choose 'Actions' and 'Rename'.
To move a model to a different folder, select it, then choose 'Actions' and 'Move to folder'.
Project Admins can upload 3D Models to a folder and rename or delete the folder from the folder drop-down menu:
Select 'New Model' to add a Model to this folder on the drop-down menu.
Select the transparent "+New model" option to add another model to this folder.
Select 'Rename folder' to adjust the folder name.
Note: Folders, like models and plans, are automatically sorted alpha-numerically.
Rename 3D Models
Project Admins can adjust the name of 3D Models. Since models are sorted alphanumerically, adjusting the name is an easy way to re-organize your models.
To adjust the name from the 3D Models tab, select the model, then select 'Actions' and 'Rename'.
From there, adjust the name and select 'Submit'. 
You can also change the name from the BIM Viewer.
Like with plans, select the name of the model while it is open in the BIM Viewer: 
Note: If a new model is uploaded with the same name as an existing model, a number will be appended to the new upload. For example, if I upload 'Architectural model' and there's already one of the same name, the new model will be renamed 'Architectural model (1)'
Delete 3D Models
Deleting a 3D model is like deleting any other piece of content in Fieldwire. Project Admins can select the model(s), then 'Actions' and 'Delete'.
Note: Only Project Admins can delete 3D Models.
Note: Deleting a 3D Model is a permanent action. These cannot be retrieved from the 'Trash' tab.
