Overview
The cross-project views feature introduces a new Dashboard tab on the home page for Business Plus users. This tab consolidates RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, Tasks, and Forms from all of your active projects into a single, filterable table view. If you manage multiple construction projects, keeping track of everything can be overwhelming. The new Dashboard tab will look to streamline visibility across projects, reduce navigation friction, and improve tracking and accountability.
With the new Dashboard tab, users can:
- View RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, Tasks, and Forms from multiple projects in one place
- Apply filters to narrow down results
- Open RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, Tasks, and Forms directly in their respective projects via new browser tabs
IMPORTANT: In this article, RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, Tasks, and Forms will collectively be referred to as “entities”, unless there is something unique to one of the tabs.

Requirements
To access the Dashboard tab, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- Belong to a Business Plus account as at least an Account User
- For more information about Account permission levels, check out this article: Introduction to Account Permission Levels: Managers, Account Users, and Project Users
- Have at least one of the following features enabled: RFIs, Submittals, or Change Orders
- Tasks and Forms will appear regardless
- Have permission to view the items listed (e.g., RFIs from other companies will not appear in the view).
How to Use
Navigation
Access the Dashboard tab from the top navigation bar (in between the Projects tab and the People tab). The Dashboard tab is only visible to eligible users.
Table View
After clicking on the Dashboard tab, the table displays the entities from your projects listed in the ‘My Projects’ tab.
By default, you will see all items under the All tab. You can also choose to have only items from one of the entities be displayed by simply clicking one of those tabs.
In the table, there are 5 columns:
- Item: Shows the name and number for the entities
- Due: Shows the due date for each listed entity. If the item is overdue, then the date will be shown in red
- Status: Shows the current status of the listed entity
- Assignee: Shows the current Assignee for the listed entity
- Project: Displays the name of the project where the particularly entities "live"
The items in the table are sorted first by Due [date], then Project, then Item type, and then by Creation date.
Selecting an Item
- Clicking an item under a certain entity opens it in a new browser tab within its project
Filters
- My Action Required: Shows the entities where you are the current Assignee or Reviewer. This filter is always applied by default, but you can remove this filter by clicking Clear filters or by simply clicking the My action required button.
- Assignee: This is a multi-select dropdown showing users associated with your projects in the ‘My Projects’ tab. The table will display external users, i.e. email addresses, in the Assignee column, but you will not be able to use the Assignee filter for those users.
-
Project: This is a multi-select dropdown showing projects listed under your ‘My Projects’ tab. It excludes archived/deleted projects as well as projects that you are not directly on even if they are associated with your company's account.
- Projects sidebar filter: The filters on the left-hand side of the dashboard give you a fast, organized shortcut for filtering your Dashboard by project as well. Teams can select groups (My Projects, Starred, Labels) or individual projects in one click.
-
Due next 7 days and Overdue: Both filters are based on the Due column logic.
- Submittals: The Due date depends on the status of the Submittal (Submission due or Response due).
- RFIs & Change Orders: Mirrors due date logic from project-level views, i.e., if the due date on the RFI or Change Order has is within the next 7 calendar days, then that item will appear when you filter for Due next 7 days. If the due date has passed, then the item will appear when you filter for Overdue.
- Tasks & Forms: Mirrors the Due date (or End date for Tasks) shown when accessing the Task or Form within the individual project
- Clear Filters: Resets all applied filters.
Filter limits:
- A maximum of 10 users can be selected in the Assignee filter.
- A maximum of 20 projects can be selected in Project filter.
Refreshing the Table
- To manually refresh the table, there is a button available shown in the screenshot below. The last date and time the table was refreshed is also displayed.
- The table automatically refreshes when leaving the Dashboard tab and then navigating back to it as well as when refreshing the browser.
General Limits
- Only items from projects active in the last 3 months are shown. 'Active' in this case means something in the project has been created or modified in the last 3 months.
- For example: Creating a new task within the last 3 months would make that project an 'active' project that shows up in the dashboard.
- There is a maximum of 1000 items per tab, meaning the table can display 1000 RFIs, 1000 Submittals, 1000 Change Orders, 1000 Tasks, and 1000 Forms
- Currently, the table will only display open items. This means items in the following statuses are excluded:
- Void (all item types)
- Closed (RFIs & Submittals)
- Approved (Change Orders)
- Submitted or any other non-editable status (Forms)
- Verified Type (Tasks)
Blank Tables
If the table is blank and not showing any information, this could be a result of one or all of the following:
- There are no projects in your ‘My Projects’ tab.
- No items qualify without filters.
- No items match your applied filters.
