Overview & background
The Account Owner and any Account Managers can effectively manage their user count directly from the account 'People' tab on the web version of Fieldwire. In addition, the Account Owner and any Account Managers can determine which projects, and the level of access, their users should have.
Since Fieldwire is priced on a per-user basis, the Account People tab is the best means to capture exactly who you, as the Account Owner, are paying for.
Furthermore, you can utilize the Project People tab to view each user that is on your project. Here, you can view the company, phone number, project permission set, and whether or not the user is covered under your, or their own Account. Managing Project Users effectively is integral to ensuring that your users have access to the content they need.
- Subscriptions: Basic, Pro, Business, and Premier
- Permissions: The Account owner and any Account Managers can add or remove users from the Account People tab. Project Admins can add and remove users, both Members and Followers can access the Project People tab.
- Platforms: Web
Keep in mind that removing users from an individual project will not remove a user from the account. If you'd like to remove any users from the account entirely, they'd need to be removed from the Account People tab.

To ensure you are only paying for those who are actively using the tool, it's imperative to remove your users when they no longer need access - to do so, follow the steps below:
From the Account 'People' tab, select one or more checkboxes next to the user's name, choose 'actions' and 'remove':
Please note: Removing a user from the account and/or projects does not delete the work that the user did. You are also able to reassign their tasks to another user! Please check out this article for more information.
The Project People Tab
The Project People tab differs from the Account People tab - here you can see who is on the contingent project, their permission level, and whether or not they are covered under your account or their own subscription. How to Invite a user
Any Project Admins can invite users to the project - to do so, select the '+New users' option in the top-left corner of the screen - then enter the emails of one or more users, separated by commas, determine the project access level and choose to 'Send Invites':
After the user receives an email - they will be prompted to accept the invite and set up the account if they do not currently have a Fieldwire account. If the user already has a Fieldwire Account, then they will automatically see the project on their Project Dashboard.
Note: Users can send no more than 100 invitations per day. If you exceed this limit, you will not be able to send another invitation until 24 hours have elapsed since the 100th invitation:
How to remove a user
To remove a user, any project admin can select the three vertical dots on the right side of the screen and choose to 'Remove' the user:
Once a user is removed, they will immediately lose access to the project, however, any data they might have added, including plans, tasks, files, etc. will remain in your project. If the user needs access again, they will need to be re-invited.

Note: the 'Invite pending' option allows you to see which users have yet to accept a project invitation, or have not
How to see who is covered under your account
Finally, Project Admins can see who is, and isn't covered under their account - this is indicated by the Grey or Green Dollar signs to the right of the 'Access' column.
A Grey Dollar Sign indicates that the user is covered under their own subscription, and the Project Owner is not responsible for covering their usage:
A Green Dollar Sign indicates the user is covered under the Project Owner's subscription:
Note: Only Project Admins can see who is and is not covered under the Project Owner's account. If you are the 'Account Owner', you can see everyone who is covered under your Subscription from the Account 'People' tab - take a look at this article for more information about that.
Invalid Email Addresses
Users that have a circled exclamation point next to their email address would indicate that it is invalid and emails will not be delivered to the inbox.
Confirm that the email address is spelled correctly and there are no typos.
- If spelled incorrectly, remove the user and add re-invite with the correct email address.
- In addition, refer to this guide on how to ensure your team is getting system emails (reports, task notifications, password resets, etc.)
Please email support@fieldwire.com with the email address of the user to check if the user may be unsubscribed or bounced in our system so they can be resubscribed to receive emails again.
