Pro, Business, & Business Plus Subscriptions: The Features You Get and How To Set Them Up

Overview 

Fieldwire offers a free Basic subscription and three tiers of paid subscriptions: Pro, Business, and Business Plus. This article details exactly what features you get by upgrading to Pro, Business, or Business Plus and includes guides for setting up and getting the most out of those features with minimal time and effort.

  • Fieldwire Basic includes robust Plan viewing, Task management, and instant messaging features that are also included in Pro/Business, but doesn't include any of the premium features below.
  • Since Basic doesn't have these powerful add-ons but we want it to be a useful taste of what Fieldwire can do for your team, it includes up to 5 People, 3 Projects, and 100 Plans.
  • Since our paid subscriptions include access for all of your Users to the premium features below, you pay a subscription fee for each User in your Account (if they don't already have a paid account of their own), but can create an unlimited number of Projects and Plans. 
  • Upgrade to Pro or Business at any time by visiting our Subscription Picker page. 
  • Fieldwire’s newest Business Plus subscription is here to empower your teams even more in the office, with our new Project Management tools.

What you get with Pro (everything in Basic, plus...)

 

Unlimited Usage

Our Basic subscription includes People, Project, and Plan limits, whereas Pro and Business subscriptions allow you to invite as many People, create as many Projects, and upload as many Plans, as you like.

***Whereas Basic comes with up to 5 users, on Pro and Business, YOU PAY FOR EACH USER. This is because all your users get access to the premium Pro or Business features listed below when you upgrade your account. Keep in mind that you will be paying for 5 subscriptions, for example, if you upgrade from Basic to Pro or Business with 5 users already in your account.*** 

Fieldwire seamlessly connects folks in the office (log into Fieldwire "Web" via our website on any computer) and the field (download and log into the same account on our iOS App and/or Android App for smartphones and tablets), so follow these guides to ensure your field team's mobile devices are ready to get the most out of Fieldwire:

 

Plan Versions & Sheet Compare

Plan sheet versioning and comparison features on both Web and Mobile allow your team to easily overlay different versions or entirely different plans in order to view the differences between each upload. You can also add markups and export the overlaid sheets to highlight actionable updates on your plans.

 

As-Built Exports

Exporting any set of Plans as interactive PDFs allows you to distribute your As-Builts like never before with the click of a button. Exported Fieldwire Plans include whatever layers of markups you choose to include; live links to photos, files, videos, and other relevant Plans; and more, so whoever you send them to can access all of the robust As-Built data you can easily collect directly on your plans as you use Fieldwire to coordinate and execute your Projects. 

 

Trash tab

The Trash tab is a tool in every Project for our customers on any premium subscription that allows you to recover any Plans, Files, Tasks, or Forms that have been deleted in the last 30 days. It's available on the web version of Fieldwire (but not our mobile apps) and is accessible only to account and project admins. 

 

Task Reports

Task Reports are incredibly easy to customize and allow you to generate punchlists as well as report on anything and everything captured in your Fieldwire Tasks throughout the duration of your Projects with the click of a button, or even without one if you schedule them to send automatically daily, weekly or monthly.

 

Custom Task Statuses

Custom task statuses follow the same sequential order as Default Task Statuses. Custom task statuses will always follow an Open to Tracked to Verified workflow. Like with default Task Statuses, a Verified task cannot come from before a Tracked task, which cannot come from before an Open task.

The key differences are that you have the autonomy to define your own Task statuses in terms of the associated, name, color, type, permission, and order.

 

Project Cloning & Archive

Since you can have as many Projects, Plans, and People that you would like on the Pro Subscription, it comes with powerful features to organize, clone configurations, and archive completed or inactive projects. Leveraging these features gives you a bird's eye view of all your Projects, lets you automatically configure your next Project with what's working best on your current ones, and ensures your team manages only active Projects on Mobile devices.

 

Revit Plugin

Revit is an industry-leading tool for creating 2D and 3D plans, and with Fieldwire's plugin, you can automatically import your plans to Fieldwire directly from their platform to ours.

Custom Forms

Custom Forms allow you to leverage 6 industry-standard templates, and create your custom templates, to generate new forms in a single click (Daily Reports, RFI's, T&M forms, etc.). If you currently use paper forms, going digital with Fieldwire makes creating and tracking forms fast and easy for all your admins; Fieldwire forms can be attached directly to Plans and Tasks, so they can be seamlessly assigned to and completed by your field team in real-time on Mobile. 

 

Account Form Templates

We've introduced a new tab for all Account Admins where you can customize form templates that are then available in all of your projects! Similarly, if you've customized a great form template in one project that would be great for another, you can now copy any project-level form template to your account form template list, so you never have to reconfigure another form again. Just another great new Fieldwire feature we built thanks to excellent feedback and a high volume of feature requests directly from our customers. 

 

Dropbox, Box, and OneDrive 2-Way and 1-Way Syncs

Connect your Projects directly to Dropbox, Box, or OneDrive with our 2-Way Sync to automatically update Plans, Files, and Photos between Fieldwire and your team's go-to file storage platform. (Forms are also synced via a 1-Way connection). We even generate an As-Builts folder in the synced platform that saves the most current versions of your plans, with markups included! 

 

File Access Control

This additional layer of security allows Project Admins to designate which file folders Project Users can access, empowering you to store more sensitive Project information in your Fieldwire database; even attached directly to Plans, Tasks, and forms; without exposing it to any members of your team you don't want viewing it. Track sensitive contractual information all in one place while keeping it safe from prying eyes.

 

360° photos

Our Integration with the Ricoh Theta series of 360° cameras allows users with Business subscriptions to take full-circle photos of entire rooms and areas onsite directly in Fieldwire. These cutting-edge images can be attached to Plans and Tasks and even exported in Reports and Plan Exports.

 

BIM Viewer

Upload 3D models to Fieldwire, and you can navigate around and through them, create measurements and annotated screenshots, and more on Web and in the field on Mobile. 

 

Custom Task Attributes

Custom Task Attributes (CTAs) allow Project Admins to customize attributes to track specialized project data and/or disable unneeded attributes. To add or remove the Custom Attributes on Tasks, Project Admins can toggle the attributes “on” or “off” from the Project Settings tab. Toggling attributes on and off will display or hide those attributes from both new and existing tasks. Project Templates

Our template tool for projects enables Admins to set up a project according to their desired specifications, and then create a template directly from that project. These templates can include categories, settings, task attributes, and much more - allowing multiple projects to be generated expediently with identical components.

Company Management

Once you upgrade to Business Plus, the people tab will be updates to support organizing users in companies. Companies on Fieldwire enables your teams and the others you work with to easily collaborate on Project Management documents like RFIs and Submittals, while providing a layer of privacy prior to submitting documentation. For example, only other people in your company can see the Draft submittals that you create.

RFIs

Whether you're creating RFIs from the field on your mobile device or from the office, Fieldwire creates a streamlined experience to pull together all of the information you need to get your questions answered faster. Link RFIs directly onto the plan to let your teams know there’s an open question, or pull in photos that were originally documented in a task that spurred a question about existing conditions. With Fieldwire’s RFIs, the whole team will get the answers they need without having to blast off an email as an FYI. 

Submittals

Before you even creating your submittals, Fieldwire allows you to extract your submittal log directly from your specifications in a matter of seconds. Save yourself hours of reading through spec books using our submittal extractor to speed up the entire approval process. Collaborate with your vendors, subcontractors, GCs, architects and engineers all within Fieldwire, so everyone has the most recent and approved materials at the tip of their fingers. 

Change Orders

The Change Orders module is the newest addition to Fieldwire's suite of Project Management tools, and it integrates with other parts of Fieldwire allowing you to have a single source of truth for agreed scope changes, faster data gather from relevant parties/stakeholders, faster approval process, etc.
